Joyce Mae Legleiter

Joyce Mae (Klocke) Legleiter, passed away on July 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by the love of her daughters. She was born on May 28, 1939, in Marion, Kansas. 

On August 26, 1966, Joyce married her husband LaVern Legleiter in Miami, Oklahoma and together they watched their two children and three grandchildren grow up. 

Joyce had a passion for life reflected in her hobbies and interests which included watching her favorite bird, the hummingbird, along with the various other birds and wild life that visited her surroundings, making quilts with her youngest daughter, creating beautiful counted cross stitch pictures, reading mystery books to see if she could figure out "who did it" before she was told, baking, doing puzzles, and word search books. 

Joyce was proceeded in death by her loving parents Harry and Ella Klocke and her brothers Gerald Klocke and Delmar Klocke. 

Joyce is survived by her husband LaVern Legleiter, daughters Tina Monier and her husband James along with their two children of Leon Kansas; Lea Paine, along with her child of Cherryvale, Kansas; her stepchildren Debra Lutz and her husband Robert of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Lonnie Legleiter and his wife Becky of Goddard, Kansas.

Joyce will be remembered for the warmth she brought to every room she entered and the unwavering love she had for her family. Her kind spirit and gentle nature touched the lives of many.

May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
