Joann G. Harding, 74, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away at her home Monday, June 22, 2015.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1pm at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with the Chaplin Mike Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Joann was born April 26, 1941, the daughter of William L. and Annie (Dillard) Key in Rural Steel, Missouri. She attended schools in the rural Steel area. She was united in marriage to Howard W. Mcabee and was later divorced. She then married William J. Ridings and he preceeded her in death in 2000.
She loved being with her cats, playing cards, and watching wrestling with her granddaughter every Monday. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary of Coffeyville, Kansas. She also loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by four daughters; Mary Ann Venable of North Port, Fl., Mary Lou Noland and husband George of Coffeyville, Ks., Betty Nelson and husband Bill of Odessa, Tx., and June Shearer and Tom Bysura of Coffeyville, Ks.; one sister Myrtle L. McGowan of Arkansas; two brothers Paul Key and wife Bobbie of Pleasant Hope, Mo., and Larry Key and wife Arlene of Brighton, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; Jerry Risner Jr., Wilfred H. LaForte III, Cassie A. Noland, Samantha Risner, Whitney Shearer, Alyssa D. Rimer, Samuel J. Noland, Joseph A. Noland, Markenzie A. Overton, Katelynn R. Noland, Lillian D. Noland, Lane Venable, April A. Kagin, Leigh Ann Venable, 10 great-grandchilren; Wyatt Gehle, Peyton Gehle, Titan Hoag, Chandler Rimer, Skyler Rimer, Emmitt Rimer, Jase Risner, Jax Risner, Wilfred LaForte, Caitlyn Warren, Brodie Kagin, and Bryson Kagin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother and two grandchildren; Tessa Risner and Christopher LaForte. Memorials may be made to AWOL or American Cancer Society.
