Jo Ann Lutz, age 85, of Caney, Kansas died Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Cross Point Baptist Church in Caney, Kansas with the Reverend Josh Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Oswego Cemetery in Oswego, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Jo Ann Lutz was born September 25, 1927 in Oswego, Kansas to Edgar M and Lula Mae Gray. She grew up in Oswego, Kansas and graduated from the Oswego High School. Jo then attended the Parsons Business Accounting College. On April 18, 1948 Jo married Cleo Edwin Lutz and the couple later divorced in 1985. She was a homemaker and was the First Southern Baptist Church Secretary for many years. Jo was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and the Cross Point Baptist Church. Survivors include one son David Edwin and wife Jennifer Gayle Lutz of Mannford, Oklahoma one sister Norma Jean Snyder of Oswego, Kansas one daughter Cleta Jo Long of Hutchinson, Kansas four granddaughters Amelia Lutz of Winnfield, Louisiana, Catherine Lutz of Mannford, Oklahoma, Melanie Chappel and Monica Bornholdt both of Hutchinson, Kansas five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clifford Pete Albin Gray and Edgar M. Gray, Jr. sisters Luella Brown, Mary Amelia Coble, and Betty Lou Walker.
