Jeremiah Mangan

Jeremiah Leonard Mangan, age 72, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Medicalodge in Paola, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 8:30 am. to 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cherryvale, Kansas. Reciting of the Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cherryvale, Kansas prior to Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2012 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Father Andrew Heiman officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Andrews Old Calvary Cemetery in Independence, Kansas under the direction of Potts Chapel of Cherryvale. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the St. Francis Xavier Building Fund and these remembrances may be left with Potts Chapel in Cherryvale. Jerry was born on June 7, 1940 in Cherryvale, Kansas to Charles and Gertrude Kane Mangan. He is survived by his sisters, Gertrude Trudy Walsh of Melbourne, Florida, Marie Unterreiner of Mesa, Arizona and Theresa Mangan of Cherryvale, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gertrude Mangan brothers, Charles, John, Lawrence and Patrick Mangan sisters, Emerentia Mary Vanderleest, Rose Power and Carol Sue Mangan.
