Jeffrey Blake

Jeffrey Jon Blake , age 46, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Sunday, July 10, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the New Life Praise and Worship in Cherryvale, Kansas. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Zachrey Blake and Ashley Essary scholarship fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Jeff was born September 18, 1964 in Independence, Kansas to John Albert and Phyllis Darlene Eikenberry Blake. Jeff grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and was a member of the Cherryvale Class of 1983. Jeff then attended the Vo Tech in Coffeyville, Kansas. Jeff married Johanna Gammil and the couple later divorced. Jeff worked for Cherry Body Shop, SCZ Oil Company, and for the last 22 years worked as a truck driver for Charloma in Cherryvale, Kansas. On March 28, 2003 Jeff married Cindy Hammond in Coffeyville, Kansas and the couple made their home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Survivors include son Zach Blake of Cherryvale, Kansas daughter Ashley Essary of Quitman, Texas mother Phyllis Blake of Cherryvale, Kansas, sister Lisa DeBolt of Jenks, Oklahoma brother Tim Blake of Tulsa, Oklahoma maternal grandmother Louise Eikenberry of Cherryvale, Kansas.
