Jean Boss

Jean Ann Boss , 82, of Cherryvale died Friday at her home. A Celebration of Life Services will be held, at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the First Baptist Church Cherryvale with the Reverend Jeffery McCullough of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the Morehead Cemetery, Morehead, Kansas, under the direction of the Potts Chapel Cherryvale. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 14, 2011, from 9:00am to 8:00 pm with family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Potts Chapel Cherryvale. A memorial has been set up for the First Baptist Church, Cherryvale and remembrances may be left at the First Baptist Church or the Potts Chapel. Jean was born August 1, 1928, in Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of David J. and Loubelle Groat Evans , Jean attended and graduated from the Fredonia School System. On May 17, 1947 she was united in marriage to Merlyn L. Boss in Yates Center, Kansas. Merlyn preceded her in death in February, 2004. Jean was a member of the Koinonia Circle, and the Ataloa Circle and a member of the First Baptist Church, Cherryvale, Kansas. Jean work and retired from Automotive Control Corporation, Independence. Survivors are five sons, Mike Boss of McAlester. Okla., Joe Boss of Fredonia, Ks., Greg Boss, Randy Boss, Gil Boss of Cherryvale three Daughters Merle Jean King, Cindy Hooper of Cherryvale, Ks. and Patti Hollingsworth of Spring Dale Ark. One sister Mary Speaks of Fredonia, Ks., 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
