James Wolf

James Wilbur Wolf, age 56, of Independence, Kansas died Thursday, October 16, 2009 at his home in Independence, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Harrisonville Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the AWOL and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. James was born September 16, 1953 in Independence, Kansas to Leo Jess and Fannie I. Vineyard Wolf. He grew up in Independence, Kansas and attended the Independence School System. James worked at Dairy Queen, Starcraft, Cobalt and was a carpenter. He owned and operated Wolfs Liquor in Independence, Kansas. On September 20, 1988 James married Dianna Lynn Moore in Independence, Kansas where they made their home. James was a member of the VFW. Survivors include her wife Dianna of Independence, Kansas; one daughter Penny Bleicher of Independence, Kansas and one step-son Jeremy Simmons of Independence, Kansas; four grandchildren.
