James Ross

James Jim C. Ross, 93, of Liberty died Tuesday November 30, 2010 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Graveside Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty , Kansas with Pastor David Brown officiating under the direction of Potts Chapel of Independence. Friends may call at Potts Chapel Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 12:00 pm till 7:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 6:00 pm till 700 pm. A memorial has been established for the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home 709 Leawood Ave., Parson, Kansas 67357 or will be received at the Potts Chapel. Jim was born September 10, 1917 in Sycamore, Kansas the son of George and Jesse Carter Ross. He attended the Maple Grove School in Fredonia, Kansas On May 24, 1939, he was united in marriage to Opal M. Pinkston in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death June of 2009. Jim was self employed in the Dairy and farming most of his life. Survivors are a son James L. Ross of Parson, KS., two daughters Eva F. Ross of Liberty, Ks., Minnie M. Birt of Girard, Ks., 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
