Hugh Hartman

Hugh L. Hartman, age 63, of Copan, Oklahoma died Friday, January 16, 2009 at his home in Copan, Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Sunnyside Cemetery with the Pastor Mike Morris of the First Assembly of God Church officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the American Legion Post 138 and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Hugh was born July 29, 1945 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Ray and Daisy Martin Hartman. He grew up in Copan, Oklahoma and graduated from the Copan High School in 1963. On January 31, 1964 Hugh entered the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge on December 18, 1967. Hugh worked for M M Construction for many years and also for Falcon Industries until his retirement in March of 2008. He was a member of the American Legion Post 138. Survivors include his wife LaFran Hartman of Caney, Kansas; one daughter Victoria Ralph of Seneca, Kansas; four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, uncles and cousins.
