Betty Helen Elizabeth Mesneak , 81, of Caney died Monday February 18, 2013 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Caney with the Reverend Dan Dewitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from noon to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Betty was born May 18, 1931 in Springfield, Missouri the daughter of Kenneth Rudolph and Cecil Etta Snider Noblitt. She grew up in Caney, Kansas, attending Caney schools, graduating from high school in Borger, Texas. On June 25, 1955 Betty was united in marriage to James Donald Jim Mesneak in Sedan, Kansas. The couple made their home in Caney, Kansas. Jim preceded her in death in 1990. Betty was a lifelong resident of Caney and began her working years with Dales Caf, Fishers Grocery, Consumers Market, Winklers Pharmacy, and Bills. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her many hobbies. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Kay Mesneak King and husband Marvin King of Tulsa, Oklahoma grandchildren Matthew and Jamie Ogle and greatgrandchildren Tesslyn Hope Ogle and Jozlyna Joyanna Ogle of Clio, Michigan granddaughter Beka Ogle of Colorado Springs,Colorado, granddaughter Kaylyne KingPompa and Julian Pompa and greatgrandchildren Julianna Evelyn Pompa and Julian Earl Pompa of Elk City, Oklahoma. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Alice Roberts, and brotherinlaw Glen Codding.
