Harriette Ann Wade, age 86, of Independence, Kansas died Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Cherryvale, Kansas with Father Andrew Heiman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with the Reciting of the Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Harriette Ann Wade was born October 18, 1925 in Independence, Kansas to William D. and Louise C. Scarlett Sappington. She grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated from the Independence High School. On December 26, 1952 Harriette married Robert L. Wade in Arkansas. The couple made their home in Independence, Kansas. Harriette was a bookkeeper for OMalley Equipment Company in Independence, Kansas. She was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Survivors include son Thomas Wade of Laredo, Texas daughter Doreen L. McHenry of Tampa, Florida and son Lawrence B. DiDonato of Wickliffe, Ohio grandchildren Diana McHenry Reichardt of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Curtis R. and wife Kaylin McHenry of Tampa, Florida, Michael DiDonato, Matthew DiDonato, and Gina DiDonato all of Wickliffe, Ohio Great grandchildren Isabella Alexis Reichardt, Gaige Alexander McHenry and one step great grandson Leighton.
