Harold “Diz” Dean Hull, age 91, of Independence, Kansas passed away December 26, 2021. He left this world a much brighter place.
Harold was born on April 10th, 1930. He attended elementary, junior high, high school, and community college here in Independence, Kansas. He also attended a semester at Pittsburg State University. Upon Graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served as a radio operator. After his service in the Air Force, he went to work for the railroad. He then moved on to work for the Sinclair/Arco Pipeline Company for 28 years.
In his retirement years he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, wood working, rock masonry, and going to the casinos. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children and great grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his wife Betty Hull (Blakemore), 3 daughters: Valerie Nickell (husband Merle) of Hesston, Kansas, Kathy Green (husband Merle) of Tuttle, Oklahoma, and Lisa Hull of Mulvane, Kansas. He leaves behind five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Potts Chapel in Independence on Wednesday, December 29th at 11:00 am with interment immediately following at Havana Cemetery, Havana, Kansas.
