Harold Dannels, 69, of Chanute, Kansas died Sunday, August 18, 2013 at his home. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel of Independence, Kansas. A Memorial Service will be held by the family Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 118 North Forest, Chanute, Kansas with Chaplain Mike Graham of the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. R Bikers Against Child Abuse and contributions may be left at the First Baptist Church in Chanute. Harold was born August 4, 1944 in Neodesha, Kansas the son of Erwin Frank and Raverdeenah Hardesty Dannels. He grew up in Holcomb, Kansas attending the Holcomb School System. Harold worked as a laborer in the oil fields. He was a Patched member of the B.A.C.A.R Bikers Against Child Abuse. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and fishing. Survivors include his companion, Crystal Morris of the home in Chanute, Kansas one stepson, Robby Dannels of Chanute, Kansas two brothers, Erwin Dannels of Hutchinson, Kansas and Frank Dannels of Chanute, Kansas three sisters, Shirley Hartman of Andover, Kansas, Eydie Ollenburger of Hutchinson, Kansas and Barbara Jameson of Duncon, Oklahoma and one grandchild.
