Grace M. Coffman, age 88 of Cherryvale, Kansas died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Cherryvale Nursing Rehabilitation in Cherryvale, Kansas. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverend Jeff McCullough and Chaplain Mike Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the First Baptist Church or the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Grace was born February 14, 1923 in Cherryvale, Kansas to William Ray and Dora Ellen Brougher Friley. She grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and graduated from the Cherryvale High School. Grace also attended the Independence Community College. On March 10, 1945 Grace married Al Van Hamilton in Cherryvale, Kansas and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1953. On January 14, 1955 Grace married Harold Ernest Coffman in Cherryvale, Kansas. Grace was a homemaker and helped Harold on the Family Farm. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cherryvale, Kansas. Harold preceded her in death on June 13, 1991. Survivors include two sons Dan Hamilton and wife Judy of Centralia, Missouri and Bill Coffman and wife Sue of Wichita, Kansas daughter in law Alene Hamilton of Rolla, Missouri one sister Jane Phillips of Cherryvale, Kansas seven grandchildren Jan Koenig and husband Keith, Chad Hamilton and wife Laurie, Luke Coffman and wife Heather, Andy Coffman and wife Amy, Matt Coffman and wife Michelle, Ellen Bedford and husband Charley, and Vanessa Paige and husband Todd eight great grandchildren Jacob, Joshua, Adam and Samuel Koenig, Ian Hamilton, Haylee Blake Coffman and Mason Bedford good friend Helen Jewett of Cherryvale, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Al Van Hamilton and Harold Coffman, one son David Hamilton, one brother Paul B. Friley, one sister Wilma Dodson.
