Gordon Smith

Gordon Scott Smith,47, of Oak Valley, Kansas died at home Thursday, November 17, 2011. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel, Independence, Kansas A celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday December 3, 2011 at the Church of The Brethren, Independence. The family has suggested memorials to the Smith Children Fund which may be left at the Potts Chapel or the Church of The Brethren. Gordon was born February 25, 1968 in Fullerton, California the son of Wesley and Murlene McCardie Smith. On September 29, 2010 in Phoenix ,Arizona, Gordon married Alexsandra Ramos and she survives at the home in Austin, Texas. Gordon was a Truck Driver. Survivors include his wife in Austin, Texas, his parents Wesley and Murlene Smith of Phoenix, Az. ,five sons Gordon Scottie Smith, Jr., Topeka, Kansas, Wesley and Travis Therrien of Cherryvale, Kansas, Zackery and Joshua Smith of Austin, Texas, three daughters Vivian and Katelynn and Lauren Smith of Austin, Texas. Two brothers Billy Smith Phoenix, Arizona, Murl Smith of London, England one sister Jennifer and husband Paul Schmidt, Walton, Kentucky.
