Glenda Beaver

Glenda Lynn (Ruth) Beaver died peacefully Saturday, April 27, 2019 in her home at Independence, Kansas. Glenda was born March 13, 1942 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was the daughter to Mary Ruth/Sarver and Orville Ruth.
Glenda graduated Osborne High School in class of 1960. She attended Kansas State University and Baker University in the early 1960's. She majored in radio broadcasting.
She was married to Donald R. Beaver for 58 wonderful years. Glenda and her husband Donald owned and operated multiple businesses in the Independence, KS area for the 47 years of residency. She played an active role in managing operations and services for said businesses and family dynamics.
Glenda enjoyed many activities including piano playing, sightseeing, restaurant viewing, cooking and continental fishing. She had a one of a kind personality. Her favorite places to winter over were Gautier, Mississippi and Port Aransas, Texas.
She will be deeply missed by family and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Donald Beaver. They have two children with spouses. Dr. Gary and Catherine Beaver, Independence, KS. Dana and Mark Henz, Gardner, KS. Her grandchildren from Gary are Dr. Gretchen Beaver and Creighton Beaver. She also leaves behind a half-brother Linus Sarver of Osborne, KS.
Glenda will be cremated by Potts Chapel, Independence, KS. She will be laid to rest at Lenape Cemetery, Leavenworth County, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, please make donation to Shriners Children's Hospital.
