GERTRUDE MATILDA PETERMAN NEWS MEDIA NOTIFICATION Gertrude Trudy Peterman, 82, of Independence, Kansas passed away at 9:23 P.M. Monday, December 6, 2010 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date under the direction of Potts Chapel of Independence. Memorial remembrances are suggested to AWOL and may be left at Potts Chapel or mailed to P.O. Box 801, Independence, Kansas 67301. Gertrude Matilda Peterman was born March 11, 1928 at Camden, New Jersey the daughter of Harry Lees and Margaret Wiseman Lees. She grew up in Panama City, Florida and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania graduating from there in 1946. She also attended Pierce Junior College in Philadelphia. On November 6, 1948 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania she was united in marriage to Francis Hunter Peterman and he survives at the home. Trudy as she was known by her family and friends was a talented painter, bridge player and loved dogs. Survivors including Frank her husband include two daughters, Nancy Kaplan of Wallingford, Connecticut, Linda Wolensky of San Diego, California, one son Frank Peterman Jr. of Coffeyville, Kansas, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
