Gary Fisher

Gary L. Fisher, age 73, of Independence passed away April 9, 2023, peacefully at his home. Cremation is taking place under the direction of Potts Chapel and no services are planned at this time.

Gary was born May 20, 1949, in Larned, Kansas to Vern and Myrtle Fisher. On August 12, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, Gary enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country for four years.

On April 23, 1977, He married the love of his life, Sharon and the two made their home in Independence.  Many knew Gary as a talented carpenter, which he was self-employed as.

Gary was a life member of the VFW and member of the Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Myrtle. Those left to carry on his memory are his wife Sharon, Daughter Annette Schinstock and Son Dwight Schinstock.
