Garold lived his life in the example and traditions of the Boy Scouts of America. When he was not camping with his scouts, he was enjoying time outdoors with his young family, wife Megan, Madelyn Sue 8, Lucille RuthAnn 3, and Robert 1. He was dedicated to his scouts but more so to his Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, for which he was preparing himself to enter the ministry. He was a member of the Wayside Christian Church where he married his wife, Megan. Garold was the program director for Fun with Son, an annual cub scout camping and activity event held each fall at Quivera Scout Ranch near Sedan. He was a past Unit Commissioner of the Quivera Council.

Garold lived the life of God first and family second. He enjoyed helping his Dad on the family farm with the routine chores of cattle, fencing, and haying. He always looked forward to enjoying the simple things of life. He was dedicated to each teaching opportunity with his children, taking pride with family and with life in its entirety.

Garold is survived by his wife and children of the home, his parents, grandmother Lois Gulick of Caney, numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard Dick and Anna Shafer, and Calvin Gulick.
