Francis Mattox

Francis Jannette Mattox formally of Indpendence passed away on January 30, 2017 in Des Moines, Iowa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at the St. Andrew Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Thursday at Potts Chapel in Independence 12:00 - 6:00 pm, with the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Francis was born on August 11, 1950 in Independence, Kansas. She was the daughter of John and Phyliss (Holstein) Gross. Francis attended and graduated from Independence High School.
Survivors include her significant other Aaron Wilcox, Children; Mark Ferrell, Jerri Ferrell and stepson Richard Wilcox, gradchildren; Josh Ferrell, Jordan Ferrell, Alyssa, Chase Sellers, Donavon Sellers and Aiden Wilcox, great-grandchildren; Tucker, Majer, Greycen, Brynnan, Bryson and Brody, and brothers John Gross and Dr. Daniel Gross.
