Frances "Adeline" Ranes 87 of Independence Ks, passed away Friday June 17th 2016 at Montgomery Place Nursing home in Independence Ks,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday June 22nd 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Independence Ks Celebrant will be Father Steve Mahn Thapwa, Concelebrant Father Marco De Loera, assisting Deacon Adam Grelinger.
Visitation will be Tuesday June 21st 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and the family will greet friends, Rosary will take place at 7:30 pm at Potts Chapel in Independence Ks.
Frances " Adeline " Ranes was born July 20th 1928 the daughter of Herman and Mary Elizabeth( Mavers ) Benning, of Coffeyville Ks, Frances grew up in Coffeyville Ks, and she attended school there. On October 30th 1945 Adeline married Lawrence L Ranes in Coffeyville Ks, the couple later divorced, two children were born in this union.
Adeline worked 55 years, she worked for FoodTown, Reeds IGA, Pick & Tote, Independence State Bank and Great Plains Federal Credit Union in Independence Ks. She was a Home Interiors Designer Representive for 10 years. She was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church of Independence Ks, and the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church of Cherryvale Ks, she also was a member of the Neighborhood Club & Home Interiors and loved gardening and flowers. She loved hummingbirds but most of all she loved spending time with her loving family.
Adeline is survived by one son Tom Ranes and wife Vicky of Cherryvale Ks, and one daughter Linda Sage and husband Roy of Independence Ks, and one brother Richard Benning of Coffeyville Ks, and five Grand Children and several Great Grand Children and Great Great Grand Children.
Adeline is proceeded in death by her parents and five brothers Roy Benning, Rayfield Benning, William Benning and Martin Benning and four sisters Josephine Graheck, Alice Bumbalow, Mary Green and Marie (Jennings) Metzinger.
