Floyd Terrance Watson, age 66 of Wayside, Kansas died Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Lone Cherry Baptist Church with the Pastor Gary Cole and Jeff Wyrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Havana Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.

Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Friends may leave online condolences at www.pottsfuneralhome.com.

The family has suggested memorials to the Potts Chapel in memory of Floyd Watson.

Floyd Terrance Watson was born August 23, 1949 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Lee Orman and Nadine (Funk) Watson. Floyd grew up in rural Wayside, Kansas and graduated from the Caney High School in 1971. After graduation Floyd entered the United States Army and served for four years. Floyd worked for M&M Contracting as a sub-contractor. He was a member of the Lone Cherry Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother Nadine Marshall of Wayside, Kansas; one son Travis G. Watson & Sandy Tuttle of Seattle, Washington; three brothers Lee Watson Jr. of Havana, Kansas, Carl B. Watson of Seattle, Washington and Danny B. Watson of Sycamore, Kansas; one sister Naketta Weber of Fromberg, Montana; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Gary Watson and step father Taylor Marshall two nieces Ashley Watson and Tina Weber Davidson.
