EVERETT CARINDER
Everett Carinder, 62, life-long Caney area resident, passed away January 21, 2015, at Jane Phillips Hospital, Bartlesville, OK, after a long battle with cancer.

Everett Andrew Carinder, was born September 27, 1952, in rural Caney, the 2nd of 5 children to William (Bill) and Evelyn (Freidline) Carinder.

He grew up and attended school in Caney, graduating high school there in 1970, and attended Coffeyville Junior College.
Everett married Vicky Wade of Havana February 18, 1972 at the Caney Methodist Church. To this union was born their two sons, John and Frank.

Everett was a welder by training, and was employed most recently for 15 years as a welder with John Deere Coffeyville Works. During his earlier years of employment he worked at Caney Box Factory, National Zinc in Bartlesville, Ferrell Propane Gas Co, and Parmac in Coffeyville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his guns, but most of all spending time with his family and especially his two grandkids.

Survivors blessed by his memory are his wife, Vicky, of the home, sons John Carinder of Rockport, Texas, and Frank and wife Erica of rural Caney; grandsons Austin and Aiden Carinder; parents Bill and Evelyn Carinder of rural Caney; four sisters, Wilma and husband Tom Rogers of rural Caney, Jane and husband Dennis Hartley of rural Caney, Susie and husband Mike Riles of Kennesaw, Georgia, Ginger and husband Greg Larkin of Caney; 6 nieces and nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Potts Chapel Funeral Home, Caney, Kansas with Mike Morris officiating. Visitation services will be from 8:00am to service time on Monday, January 26, at the funeral home, with the family greeting friends beginning at 9:00am. Burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Caney under the direction of Potts Chapel Funeral Home of Caney.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Caney Recreation Center for purchase of needed facility equipment, currently an ice maker. Memorials can also be given to the donor's organization of choice specified in memory of Everett Carinder. Donations can be left with Potts Chapel Funeral Home in Caney.
