Evelyn Condon

Evelyn Lee Condon, 80, passed away at Medicalodges Independence on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 10:00 AM at the Moline City Cemetery.

The oldest of 3 children, Evelyn Lee was born in Valley Center, Kansas to Lloyd A. and Jesse P. (Dutton) Ford on March 6, 1939. In 1957, Evelyn graduated from high school in Elk Falls, Kansas. On December 1, 1956, Evelyn married Ernest Kenneth Condon Jr. Through the years, Evelyn and Ernest welcomed four children. Evelyn worked at ACC for 20 plus years before retiring. Evelyn loved sewing, cooking, gardening and crocheting and needlework. Evelyn will be deeply missed by everyone that had the honor of knowing and speaking with her.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Jesse Ford, husband, Ernest Kenneth Condon Jr., son, Rocky Lloyd Condon, and brother, Leslie Ford.

Those left to cherish Evelyn’s memory, son, Ernest “Bud” Condon III and wife Ardie, daughters, Evelyn Jo “Jody” Carter and husband Kevin, and Rexanna Lee Nicklas and husband Warren, nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
