Longtime Liberty, Kansas resident, Eva Faye Ross passed away at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.
Eva Faye Ross was born on October 19, 1942 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to James C. and Opal M. (Pinkston) Ross. Eva attended rural schools in Elk City, Kansas and rural Labette County. In 1967 Eva moved to Liberty, Kansas where she made her home for the past 52 years. During her parents later years, Eva helped care for them and take care of the everyday activities of their home. Eva attended the Liberty United Methodist Church and attended the craft club meetings at the church. She loved to ride horses, embroidery, play dominos, listen to old country music, and cats. Eva especially loved the time she spent with her family, she simply adored the time she spent with her cousin Debbie laughing, telling stories and going on countless adventures. Eva will be dearly missed by her entire family and be remembered as one of the sweetest and caring people.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Opal M. Ross, brother, James Lee Ross and nephew, Jeffrey Lee Ross.
Eva’s memory will carry on with her sister, Minnie and husband, Oscar Birt of Girard, Kansas, sister-in-law, Karleen Ross of Parsons, Kansas, and one niece, five nephews, and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. A private family burial will take place at Liberty Cemetery on Friday, November 15th at 1:00 PM. The family will honor Eva’s memory with a Celebration of Life Service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made in Eva's name to the Liberty United Methodist Church. Memorial can be left with the Potts Chapel.
