Ethel Mcgill

Ethel Marie McGill, 78, of Independence Ks. passed away Friday, October 9th at Medicalodge Independence. Cremation has taken place by Potts Chapel of Independence Ks. Services will be at a later date.
Ethel Marie McGill was born January 1, 1937 in Winfield, Ks, the daughter of Henry Harry and Carrie Marie ( Darnal ) Potter. She attended schools in Independence and Sedan, Ks. On August 10, 1958 Ethel was united in marriage to Ralph Scott McGill and later divorced. Ethel lived in Independence for 19 years, moving here from Perry Ks.
Ethel was a member of the Independence Lions Club and the Red Hat Club. Ethel loved working with flowers and was a florist in Perry and Lawrence, Ks. She also loved working on crafts, but most of all she loved spending time with her loving family.
Ethel is survived by two sons Joe McGill and Jim McGill and wife Georgia both of Lawrence Ks. and two brothers Fred Potter of Princeton Ks. and Jim Potter of Dearing Ks. and three grandchildren; Maxwell McGill, Michael McGill and Maxine McGill.
