NEWS MEDIA NOTIFICATION ELLEN LOUISE BROWN Ellen Louise Brown, age 58, of Coffeyville, Kansas, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her home. Visitation will be from 12pm to 7pm, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Potts Chapel of Independence. Funeral services will be 2pm, Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Cherryvale Christian Church with Evangelist David Bycroft officiating. Internment will follow at Fairview Cementery in Cherryvale, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the Tyro Christian Church Rock Project and may be given to Potts Chapel 122 S. Penn. Ave., P.O. Box 801, Independence, Kansas 67337. Louise Brown was born on October 16, 1951 to Howard and Lucy Wege Gifford in Cherryvale, Kansas. She graduated from the Altamont school system. Louise married Harold Brown on July 11, 1970 in Cherryvale, Kansas, and he survives in the home at Coffeyville, Kansas. Mrs. Brown was a care giver and worked for Skil in Coffeyville. She is survived by her husband Harold Brown of Coffeyville, KS mother Lucy Gifford, of Manhattan, Kansas two sons, David Brown, of Bartlett, Kansas and Danny Brown of Wichita, Kansas one brother Don Gifford of Richmond, Missouri two sisters Ann Shipwash of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Carol Anderson of Bloomfield, Indiana and one grandchild.
