Edwin Bruington

Edwin Alvin Bruington, of Independence, Kansas passed away at his home, Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the age of 95.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on Friday, July 24th at 10:00 am with interment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery in Independence, Kansas.

Edwin was born on August 6, 1924 in Independence, Kansas. He married Elizabeth (Bessie) M. Bruington on November 8, 1958. After serving in the U.S. Army during WWII, Edwin returned to Independence where he was involved in a lifetime of farming.

Edwin is preceded in death by his wife, Bessie, his parents, Percy and Ida Bruington, three brothers, Marvin, Glenn, and Gerald Bruington, and nephew Jeff Bruington.

He is survived by his brother, Harold Bruington and wife Arlene of Joplin Missouri, nephew, Brent Bruington and wife Lana of Bixby, Oklahoma, nieces, Lori Belluomo and husband Mike of Wichita, Kansas, Julie Bruington of Olathe, Kansas and numerous great nephews and nieces.
