Edward (Ed) Paul Lynch was born December 19, 1935, in Osage County, Oklahoma. Ed joined his family in heaven on August 7, 2025, at the age of 89. 

Ed was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Ruby Lynch, his brothers Clay Lynch and Jerry Lynch, and a sister Karen Bielss. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Donna (Stephens) Lynch of the home, a daughter Deborah (Jim) Hamilton of Kanas City Missouri, a son Tim (Marci) Lynch of Topeka, Kansas, and a daughter Rebekah (Christi) Lloyd of Pittsburg, Kansas. Ed dearly loved his grandchildren; Hannah (Brett) Murray of Kansas City, Missouri, Jacob (Blake) Hamilton of Webb City, Missouri, Tyler (Marissa) Lynch of Galveston, Texas, Zach Lynch of Sun City, Arizona, Hailey Lynch of Topeka, Kansas, Trevor Drenik of Kansas City, Missouri and Hannah Drenik of Pittsburg, Kansas, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

 Ed also leaves behind two sisters, Emma Inbody of Owasso, Oklahoma and Peggy Keim of Muskogee, Oklahoma as well as many nieces and nephews.

 Funeral arrangements are being coordinated through Potts Funeral Home in Independence, Kansas, with services being held at First Church of the Nazarene in Independence, Kansas on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the Nazarene church at 1:00 pm. Ed will be laid to rest at Harrisonville cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to First Church of the Nazarene or to Gideon International.
