Edward Connelly

Edward Gregory Connelly, 64, of Independence passed away on Thursday, February 01, 2018. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 1:00pm at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. Visitation will be Sunday, February 4th from 1:00-3:00pm at Potts Chapel of Independence. Memorials are suggested to AWOL and can be left with the funeral home. Edward was born November 29, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the son of Edward and Mary (Thompson) Connelly. He grew up in Virginia. He graduated high school in 1972. In 1975 he married Sandra Faler. She passed away in 1997. In 2004, he married Stacy Bennett. She survives at the home. Edward enjoyed gardening, investing and model airplanes. He was very creative and had many talents including woodworking, painting and cross stitching. Most of all Edward loved spending time with his family. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Edward and Mary, wife Stacy, his children: Sara Wolf, Heather Love, Nathan Connelly, and Colleen Wright, step-children: Michael Bennett and Tiffany Reddy, thirteen grandchildren and Sister Loretta Rhodes. Preceding him in death are his wife Sandra and sister Kathleen Connelly.
