Edgar James (Ed) Mavers 88 of Independence Ks, passed away Monday February 1st 2016 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville Ks,
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday February 5th 2016 at 10:00am at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Independence Ks, Rosary will take place Thursday February 4th 2016 at 7:00pm at Potts Chapel of Independence Ks, and Visitation will be from 8:00am to 8:00pm
Edgar James (Ed) Mavers was born September 6th 1927 on a farm in rural Independence Ks, the son of Tony H and Tresa (Winegaurd) Mavers.
Ed attended Bates Rural School and help his parents on their farm. His early working years began with Banks Tree Trimming services, In the early 50's he started working for (KG&E) now Weststar Energy where he retired after 31 Years as a lineman, he was later employed by Terry Scott at the Professional Building.
Ed was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Independence Ks, and he belong to the IB&W union for 65 Years.
On June 21st He was united in marriage to Helen Crittenden St. Andrews Catholic Church and they made their home in Independence Ks,
Ed is survived by his Wife of the home, one daughter Linda Martin of Littleton Col. and one Step-Son Tom Crittenden of Independence Ks, and six Grand Children and six Great Grand Children
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Jean and one daughter (Vicki) and one son (Eddie) and two Sisters and two Brothers. Memorials can be made to the St. Andrews Catholic Church and may be left at the Potts Chapel of Independence Ks, on line Condolences can be left to the family at www.pottsfuneralhome.com
