Earl Clifton Foreman, age 87, of Independence, Kansas died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Windsor Place in Independence, Kansas. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Burial will be held at a later date. The family has suggested memorials to the Salvation Army and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Earl was born August 28, 1922 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Delbert and Viola Goins Foreman. He graduated from the Parsons High School. On October 21, 1942 Earl entered the United States Army Air Corp and served during World War II until his honorable discharge on January 5, 1946. On May 24, 1947 Earl married Betty Francis Larsen in Fort Scott, Kansas. The couple moved to Independence, Kansas in 1974. Earl worked as a machinist at Emerson Electric for 10 years. Survivors include his wife Betty of the Independence, Kansas two sons Phil and Brian Foreman both of Independence, Kansas one daughter Sharon Smith of Independence, Kansas seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents three brothers and three sisters.
