Dr.Fay Bradley Jd, Md

Dr. Fay Bradley was born January 13, 1938 to the late Henry and Irene Ransom Bradley. He departed this life on January 14, 2021 in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Bradley was a graduate of Independence High School and attended Independence Community College. After setting records at ICC, he was awarded a track scholarship at Pittsburgh State. In 1960 he graduated with a BS in biology. After graduation he was drafted into the US Army. Upon being discharged, he enrolled at Howard University where he received a JD and an MD. He had a long career with the US Public Health Service and retired in1992.

At an early age Dr. Bradley became a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. The teachings of the church encouraged service to God and his fellow man. Throughout his life generously shared his resources with others. In 2013 he was able to honor the unfulfilled dream of his mother Irene by endowing the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing at Pittsburgh State University.

He is preceded in death by brothers: Paul Bradley and Henry Bradley and sister Mary Wilson.

Those left to cherish his memory are sister Anita Monroe, brother Earl (Edwina) Bradley, nephew Michael (Tina) Monroe, niece Mary Jones, nephew Earl (Damita) Macfarlane, niece Deborah (Jean Louis) Galliot, niece Amanda (Ben) Gran, nephew Todd (Christine) Wilson and many more nieces and nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, January 25th, 2021 at 10:00am at the Wesley Center in Independence, Kansas under the direction of Potts Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be designated to the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing Endowment at Pittsburg State University.  Memorials can be mailed to the PSU Foundation, P.O.
