Dorothy Wilkins

Dorothy Clara Wilkins, age 81 entered into eternal life on June 2, 2017 while residing at Medicalodge in Arkansas City, Kansas. The daughter of Herbert and Cecilia (Nilges) Seck, she was born on August 9, 1935 in Garnett, Kansas. She attended Catholic school in Greeley, Kansas and graduated from Louisburg High School in 1953.

Dorothy enjoyed reading and gardening and time spent with her family. She spent several years as a homemaker before holding various jobs outside the home.

She married Louis James Carter on October 31, 1953 at the First Christian Church in Louisburg, Kansas, the couple later divorced.

The had four children Cyndi (Jeff) Carr of Independence, Kansas, David Carter of Breckenridge, Minnesota, Robin (Rick) Van Dyne of Independence, Kansas and Raylin (Lori) Carter of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

She later married Raymond Perry "Pat" Wilkins in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1999.

She is survived by her sister Mary Catherine Windisch of Paola, Kansas, her four children twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Paola, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel. Friends may leave online condolences at www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
