DOROTHY LOUISE OLSON Dorothy Louise Olson, age 80, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away, Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Thayer Cemetery with the Reverend David Camp officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145 and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Memorial Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 7th, 2012 at the Unity Church of Overland Park, Kansas at 10300 Antioch Road. Dorothy L. Olson was born on January 4, 1932 to Arthur and Ethel Janes Key near Milford, Missouri. She graduated from the Thayer High School and the Chanute Junior College. She worked at the Parsons Ammunition Plant then was employed for 33 years as chief clerk by Continental Trailways in Kansas City, Missouri. Dorothy was active with the Childrens Mercy Hospitals Century Club and a member of the Unity Church in Overland Park, Kansas. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband of 38 years Thomas J. Olson, her parents, and siblings Edward Key, Winnie Dean, and Shirley Hillstrom. Survivors are brotherinlaw James Hillstrom and his wife, Dolores, many nieces and nephews including Thomas Debra, Trudie, and Terrie Michele Dean, Mike and Mark Key, Leslie Primm, and Greg Scott.
