Dorothy Jaunita Bulger, age 93 of Cherryvale, Kansas died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Cherryvale Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Cherryvale, Kansas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the celebrant Stephen Mahn Thapwa officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Reciting of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Jaunita Bulger Memorial Scholarship Fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Dorothy Jaunita Bulger was born November 26, 1916 in Cherryvale, Kansas to William and Edith Hummel Gray. She grew up and attended schools in Cherryvale and graduated from the Cherryvale High School. She was a cook for many years with USD 447 School District. On August 19, 1940 Dorothy Jaunita Bulger married John Hubert Bulger. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1999. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters Dianthia Jewett, of Cherryvale, Kansas and Marie Boss of McAlister, Oklahoma three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, three brothers, and three sisters.
