Donald Jackson

Donald Lee Jackson, age 72, of Chautauqua, Kansas died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at his home in Chautauqua, Kansas.

Donald Lee Jackson was born November 28, 1940 in Caldwell, Kansas to Harvey and Bernice Kohlhorst Jackson. The family moved to Sedan, Kansas in 1952. Donald graduated from the Sedan High School in 1958. Donald served in the United States Army Reserves.

On April 4, 1959 Donald married Judith Ann Jackson in Sedan, Kansas where the couple made their home. On October 1, 1966 the couple moved to Chautauqua, Kansas. Donald was a farmer, rancher, kennel operator and also had worked in oilfield services. He was a USD 286 School Board Member and the Mayor of Chautauqua, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife Judith of the home four sons, Donald Rock Jackson and wife Deanna of Topeka, Kansas, Derrick Logan Jackson and wife Monica of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Brandon Tyler Jackson and wife Jan of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Preston Kylar Jackson and wife Paige also of Tulsa, Oklahoma 10 grandchildren Ashley D. Teudean and husband Andrei of Denver, Colorado, Whitley N. Hulse and husband Andrew of Kansas City, Kansas, Colton L. Jackson, Mallory L. Jackson, Greydon L. Jackson all of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Barron T. Jackson, Grant C. Jackson of Tulsa, Samantha L. Jackson, Sarah A. Jackson, and Shea E. Jackson all of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma with the Reverend T. Lee Stephens officiating. Private family burial will follow under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.

Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.

The family has suggested memorials to the St. Lukes Episcopal Church, 210 SE. 9th St., Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74003 or contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas.
