Deloris Pearl Srader, age 82, of Independence, Kansas died Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Caney Nursing Center in Caney, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with the Chaplain Mike Graham of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Deloris was born September 19, 1927 in Tipton, Kansas to Orne Hobert and Agnes Schlegg Srader. She grew up in the El Dorado area and attended schools there. In 1943 Deloris married James Wilson in El Dorado, Kansas and the couple later divorced. Deloris worked in Housecleaning and Restaurants and later in Senior Citizen Companion. She made her home in Wichita, Kansas until moving to Independence, Kansas in 1995. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Wichita, Kansas. On September 8, 2005 Deloris married Terrance Houck in Miami, Oklahoma and the couple made their home in Independence, Kansas. Survivors include her husband Terrance of Independence, Kansas one daughter Pamela Wilson of Independence, Kansas one son Lee Wilson of Weir, Kansas 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister Zelda, and one brother Eldon.
