Delburt Middlesworth

Delburt Allan Van Middlesworth, age 96 of Neodesha, Kansas died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at his home in Neodesha, Kansas.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church in Independence, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. In place of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Masonic Home, 401 South Seneca Street, Wichita, KS 67213.

Delburt A. Van Middlesworth was born March 25, 1918 in rural Butler County, Kansas to Bert and Edna Waggoner Van Middlesworth. Delburt graduated from Pittsburg State University. On February 23, 1940 Delburt married Thelma Dunn in El Dorado, Kansas. Delburt worked at Boeing for 37 years before the couple moved to Independence, Kansas in 1982. He worked for Walmart for over 10 years. Thelma preceded him in death. Delburt was a Mason, Scottish Rites and a MIRZA shriner.

Survivors include two daughters Susan Kleinbeck of Neodesha, Kansas and Marsha Tice of Iron Mountain, Michigan Grandchildren Lincoln Tice of Indiana, Garrett Tice of California and Melissa Tice of Wisconsin

Service
