Debra Debbie Diane Marceleno, age 46, of Independence, Kansas passed away Saturday, November 7, 2009 at her home in Independence, Kansas surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with the Reverend Jim Blocher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2009 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Gabriel Marceleno College Fund set up at the First Federal Savings Loan and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Debra Diane Marceleno was born April 4, 1963 in Independence, Kansas to Stanley R. and Joyce Gilliland Augustine. Debbie grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated from the Independence High School in 1981. She worked at ACC, Emerson, Amazon, Cessna and Neodesha Plastics. Debbie was baptized at the Highland Park Baptist Church in Independence, Kansas. Survivors include her husband Manuel of the home; one daughter Gabriel R. Marceleno of Independence, Kansas; father and step mother Stanley Linda Augustine of Independence, Kansas; Mother and step father Joyce Jim Blakemore of Independence, Kansas; four brothers Rodney and wife Twila Augustine of Independence, Kansas, Jeff and wife Cindy Blakemore of Havana, Kansas, Jerad and wife Charis Schultheiss of Independence, Kansas and Ryan and wife Kristina Augustine of Independence, Kansas; two sisters Kim and husband Clint Goodman and Chris and husband John Mangan both of Independence, Kansas and Paternal Grandmother Bonnie Decker of Independence, Kansas.
