Deana Campbell

Deana Lynn Campbell McLaughlin passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at her home in rural Independence, Kansas. Deana was born January 22, 1963 in Independence, Kansas, the daughter of Deloris I. Hagan and Raymond Joe McLaughlin. Deana attended Cherryvale Elementary and High School graduating in 1981, and later attended ICC graduating with an associates degree in 2005. Deana spent a lot of time camping and bicycle riding and roller skating as a child. As an adult she thoroughly enjoyed motorcycle riding and going on road trips with her mate Craig. She like to fish, and loved her animals. Deana had a passion for her volunteer work with Relay for Life and was a Co Survivor Chair with Relay American Cancer Society. She was involved and enjoyed all aspects of the Survivorship Activities. Deana crocheted afghans and scarves for friends and fundraisers for Relay, and participated in candle sales through Home Interiors. Deana is survived by her mate, Craig Campbell of the home one daughter Kandice Adamson and husband Chad of Branson, Missouri Mother Deloris McLaughlin of Cherryvale, Kansas Sisters Carol J. McLaughlin of Independence, Kansas, Terri McLaughlin of Hays, Kansas and Stacy McLaughlin of Cherryvale, Kansas many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Deana was preceded in death by her father Joe McLaughlin and grandparents Dewey Ruth Ellis and Uel and Hassie Hagan. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Memorial Celebrations of Life Services will be held on July 18, 2010 at the Cherryvale Logan Park Building at 2:00 p.m. followed by a family dinner. The family has suggested memorials to the Relay For Life and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
