David Smysor

David G. Smysor, age 89 of Cherryvale, Kansas died Friday, April 27, 2012 at his home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. David was born March 10, 1923 in Atlanta, Kansas to George and Glennie Howard Smysor. He grew up in Mulvane, Kansas and attended schools in Mulvane. On May 28, 1950 David was united in marriage to Shirley Miller and the couple made their home in Mulvane, Kansas. Shirley preceded him in death in June of 2007. David was a farmer and also worked as a machinist for Funk Manufacturing in Coffeyville, Kansas. Survivors include one son Danny G. Smysor and wife Carolyn of Mulvane, Kansas three daughters Kathy Jomp and Helen Doty both of Louisa, Virginia and Crystal Graham of Valley Center, Kansas one brother Al Peggy Dale of Colorado one sister Dorothy Smysor of Tyler, Texas 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
