Darren Ray Manley, age 51, of Cherryvale, Kansas died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Disaster Relief in Joplin, Missouri and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Darren Ray Manley was born August 17, 1960 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Darrel L. and Norma L. Epperson Manley. Darren attended South Coffeyville Schools before graduating from Lenapah High School in 1978. Darren worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for a short time. In 1979 Darren married Brenda Wooldridge and the couple later divorced. Darren worked at Coffeyville Resources for 30 years. On July 4, 2008 Darren married LeAnn Fought and the couple made their home in rural Cherryvale, Kansas. Darren was a former member of the Hillcrest Golf Course in Coffeyville, Kansas and thoughout his life enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, and camping. After his death he was a anatomical donor thinking of others in need. Survivors include his wife LeAnn of the home father and mother Darrel and Norma Manley of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma one son Derrick Manley of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, one daughter Amanda Tubbs and husband Jeremy of Talequah, Oklahoma step son Adam Grove of Independence, Kansas, step daughter Megan Grove of Cherryvale, Kansas two brothers Kevin Manley and wife Paula and Matthew Manley and wife Chea both of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma two step grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
