Darcie Hernandez

Darcie Hernandez, 18, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009 as the result of an auto accident in Cheyenne, . She was born on January 3, 1991 in Coffeyville, Kansas, the daughter of Jesus and Gina Wedman Hernandez. Darcie attended Coffeyville High School and in December of 2007 she was active in FFA and played city recreation soccer and softball. She attended the First United Methodist Church. Darcie was assistant manager for a Sonic Restaurant in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She enjoyed the life she could experience in the setting of Wyoming. She is survived by her parents, Jesus and Gina Hernandez, Coffeyville, Ks.; one brother Diego Hernandez of Colorado Springs, Colorado and one sister Mallory Hernandez of the home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. from the First United Methodist Church, Coffeyville, Kansas. Rev. J. Collins will officiate the funeral ceremony under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Independence, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas.
