Dale Eugene Webber of Cherryvale, Kansas died Monday morning, August 22, 2011 at his home. He was 56 years old. His death was a result of a tough battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his current spouse Janice Hammond and a son Dallas Webber and wife Rachael. Dale was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 29, 1954. He spent his next 15 years in a number of places, growing up with his family. These places included Wyoming, Kansas, and California, with his last few school years being in Cherryvale. Dale married Sue Chaffin in 1972 and moved to California where he joined the United States Army in 1974. He spent 3 years in Fort, Ord, California as a communications specialist and was honorable discharged in 1977. In 1978 Dale and Sue had a son, Dallas Edward. Dale had several jobs in California after the Army. These jobs ranged from security guard, to machinist, to ending up as an Appliance Repair Technician. Dale and Sue divorced in 1990 and he returned to Cherryvale, Kansas. He landed a job with Lees Heating and Cooling in 1991 and met his current spouse Janice Hammond. He loved both until his illness took his life in August of this year. Dale was a very caring and loving person and will be missed greatly by all of his friends and family. He was a member of the Mid America Revival Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. His love and convictions of the Lord will assure him a guaranteed spot next to the God Almighty. We will miss him dearly. Dale was preceded in death by his father Raymond Webber and his stepdaughter Cindy Blake and her husband Jeff Blake. He is survived by his mother Della Maxine Webber, two brothers, Daniel Webber and Wade Webber, four sisters, Debra Causey, Sally Duffy, Elizabeth King, and Penny Torrez, two stepchildren, David Hammond and Christy Jones, and six stepgrandchildren, Jeremiah and Zackery Hammond, Amber Hart and Amanda Brayman, Ashley Essary and Zack Blake. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas with a dinner to follow at the New Life Praise and Worship Church in Cherryvale at 5:00 p.m. The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and contribution may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas.
