Dale Elven Craig, 65 of Independence, Kansas passed away at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
Dale was welcomed into this world the eldest child of George E. and Barbara M. (Schoonover) Craig in Great Bend, Kansas on November 22, 1956. Dale attended Fredonia High School and graduated in 1974. Through the years Dale worked at various manufacturers as a welder and metal fabricator and retired from Cobalt Boats in 2019. On June 21, 1986 in Independence, Kansas, Dale wed the love of his life, Karla. The two enjoyed 32 years of marriage until her passing on July 18, 2018. Dale loved to travel around trying various restaurants with Karla and his father George. He also loved to cook and share recipes, play guitar and attend car shows, drag races and circle races.
Dale is preceded in death by his dear wife, Karla, and mother, Barbara.
His memory will carry on with his children, Michelle Craig, Robert Craig, Steven Craig, Tabitha Easley, and Michelle Little, his father, George Craig, brother, Mike Craig, sister, Vickie Wilson, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family at Potts Chapel on Thursday, October 20th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at Potts Chapel on Friday, October 21st with burial immediately following at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
