Cory Shawver

Cory Robert Shawver, age 25, of Independence, Kansas died Friday, February 17, 2012 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the Jefferson Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Cory was born May 11, 1986 in Independence, Kansas to Tommie R. and Sonja Kemp Shawver. He grew up in Independence, Kansas and graduated from the Independence High School in 2004. Cory worked for Quality Motors as a detailer. Survivors include his parents Tommie Sonja Shawver of Independence, Kansas two sons Cody Shawver and Ricky Stout both of Independence, Kansas two sisters Crystal Shawver and Holly Shawver both of Mound Valley, Kansas grandparents Richard Carol Kemp of Independence, Kansas Fiance Angela Stout of Independence, Kansas.
