Connie Smith

Connie Joanne Smith, 66, of Parsons, Kansas passed away peacefully at Labette Health Hospital in Parsons, Kansas on December 27th, 2019. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 10:00am at Potts Chapel of Independence. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence.

Connie was born on February 26th, 1953 in Independence, Kansas to Henry and Elizabeth Allen (Bennett). She attended Wann, Oklahoma High School. Connie was a very kind, caring, loving person that would do anything for anybody. Her kids and her grandkids were her life. She really loved the music of The Oak Ridge Boys who she had seen in concert several times.

Connie was a member of Lenapah First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Shana Durham of Kansas City, Bryon Beams of Fortuna, California and daughter Angela Bartley and son-in-law Adam Bartley of Parsons, Kansas. Siblings, Phil Allen of Edna, Kansas, Mike Allen of Chanute, Kansas, Cindy Kimrey of Lenapah, Oklahoma. She has 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Debbie and Sheryl Allen, step father Junior King and granddaughter Sabrina.
