Connie A. Dunham, 60, of Independence passed away Friday August 10, 2012 at her home. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Nazarene Church, Elk City, Kansas with Tony Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the Havana Cemetery in Havana, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel, Independence, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. at the Potts Chapel, Independence. The family has suggested memorials to the Hospice Care of Kansas of Parson, Kansas and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence or the Nazarene Church Elk City, Kansas. Connie was born July 13, 1952 in Eureka, Kansas the daughter of Ivan Ike R. and Norma F. Penner Morse. She grew up in Longton, Kansas and graduated from the Longton School System. Connie then attended the Wichita Business College where she graduated with her Associates Degree. Connie was united in marriage on February 22, 1986 to Garryl David Dunham in Elk City , Kansas and the couple made their home in Independence, Kansas. Garryl survives at the home. Connie was the Office Manager at the Senior Citizens Residence Penn Manor in Independence. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Elk City. Survivors include Three daughters Jennifer Dawn Reichenberger of Elk City, Ks., Leah Frances Oldenettel , Fort Smith, AR., Christine Marie Dye Claremore,Ok., one sister Teresa Anne Fowler Davenport, Ia., four brothers Robert Steven Morse, Latham, Ks., Mark Edward Morse , Gordon Russell Morse,and Rex Eldon Morse all of Elk City, Ks., and five Grandchildren .
