Connie Blackburn

Connie L. Blackburn, age 58, of Thayer, Kansas died Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverend Rusty Hammer officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas.

Visitation hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas.

The family has suggested memorials to the Connie Blackburn memorial fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas.

Connie was born December 18, 1956 in Mendota, Illinois to Albert and Ruth Elvina (Fox) Fultz. On June 29, 1974 Connie married Larry Blackburn Sr. She has resided in Kansas for the last ten years. Connie loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Larry Blackburn Sr. of the home; one son Larry Blackburn Jr. and wife Janet of Thayer, Kansas; four daughters Wendi Jacobs and husband Jim of Owasso, Oklahoma, Mandie Blackburn of Caney, Kristie Morales of Grove, Oklahoma, and Carrie Blackburn of Cherryvale, Kansas; five sisters Nancy Steffen of Debuque, Iowa, Judy Kinfel of Spring Valley, Illinois, Sandra Steele of Oglesby, Illinois, Cheryl Blackburn of Cherryvale, Kansas and Susie Fultz of California; 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
